1. Packer
2. Palletizer
3. Line Worker
4. Sanitor

The position selected will depend on skill set.

Responsibilities include:

1. Packaging bakery products to be sent to Publix stores
2. Operating palletizing equipment to stack containers of product on pallets
3. Moving, dumping and scraping bowls and hoppers and ensuring pans are in place for product to be deposited
4. Placing product on the production line and applying icing and toppings
5. Cleaning equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with industrial strength chemicals
6. Accurately completing all paperwork required by the position
7. Other duties as assigned

Other Compensation Information:

Starting pay is $1.00 to $2.00 above pay range minimum depending on experience or applicable skill level.

Night Differential: A $.75 per hour night differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m. (this does not include shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00AM).

Weekend Differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Year End Bonus:

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

Required Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 18 years old
2. Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
3. Must demonstrate safe work habits
4. Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
5. Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment occasionally
6. Must be able to lift pans or cases with product above shoulder level frequently
7. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
8. Must have good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)
9. Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
10. Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
11. Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas
12. Must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
13. Must possess general knowledge of machine operation
14. Ability to obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift
15. Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
16. Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
17. Must possess basic math skills
