Production Worker B, PM, Bakery - Lakeland

Base pay range

$31,000.00/yr - $43,000.00/yr

Description

One of the following positions is now available:

• Packer
• Palletizer
• Line Worker
• Sanitor

The position assigned will depend on your skill set.

Responsibilities Include

• Packaging bakery products to be sent to Publix stores
• Operating palletizing equipment to stack containers of product on pallets
• Moving, dumping and scraping bowls and hoppers and ensuring pans are in place for product to be deposited
• Placing product on the production line and applying icing and toppings
• Cleaning equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with industrial-strength chemicals
• Accurately completing all required paperwork
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with GMPs
• Show safe work habits
• Be able to lift over 50 pounds frequently
• Occasionally push or pull heavy equipment
• Lift pans or cases with product above shoulder level frequently
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Have good human relations skills and be a team player
• Work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
• Assist team members in other areas as needed
• Perform steady and productive work for extended periods
• Possess general knowledge of machine operation
• Ability to obtain and operate a forklift
• Work efficiently with little or no supervision
• Follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Have basic math and effective communication skills
• Show enthusiasm, initiative, pride in work, and a commitment to Publix and its mission
