Job description

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLDdivision is currently seeking aProduction Worker - 3rd Shiftin Highland, IL. The regularly scheduled hours are 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. The rate for this position is$19.66per hour plus a $.50 per hour shift differential.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

The Production Worker is responsible for work in all departments of the manufacturing plant - Weld, Paint, Press, Packing, Shipping, Mill, Layout - doing various labor jobs. Some departments are more physically demanding, however, the general laborer should be capable of handling the work in all departments daily.

  • Occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and climb heights, but never crawl. They will frequently crouch kneel, balance, and frequently reach above the shoulder level and frequently push and pull.
  • Frequently carry up to 10 to 34 pounds and a little less frequently 35-50 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Do repetitive action of simple grasping, and firm grasping is required, however fine manipulating is not used. You also will not be required to operate any equipment that is operated by a foot pedal.
  • Work around moving machinery but not be required to operate it. There is NO work at unprotected heights and the only temperature change is created by the opening of a dock door.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius)of Highland, IL will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographic area limitation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience
