Job summary

The Watkins Company in Winona, MN is seeking a Production Worker (Utility) for 2nd shift. This entry-level role provides training for advancement and involves feeding bottles, labeling, assembly, and quality checks.

Schedule Monday-Thursday 4:15pm-2:45am, pay $20.39 per hour (includes shift differential) with a $1,750 sign-on bonus. Medical, dental, life, AD&D, PTO, holidays, and 401k match are offered.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks and feeds bottles, jars, and other containers to filling lines.
• Labels containers and operates semi-automatic equipment.
• Assembles, sorts, counts, weighs, and boxes filled containers.
• Inspects materials and products for quality and appearance; notes deficiencies.
• Assists with line changeovers and performs routine housekeeping.

This entry level position will equip you for success and give you the knowledge and experience for potential advancement opportunities in the future. The duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:* Unpacks and feeds bottles, jars, and other containers to be filled on manual, semiautomatic, or automatic production line.* Applies labels to container and/or wraps products, either manually or by operating semi-automatic equipment.* Assembles, sorts, counts, weighs, and boxes filled containers.* Places fitments, caps, protectors, dividers, platforms, and other parts on or in bottles, jars, or boxes.* Ensures proper count and palatalizes packaged cases.* Inspects feed materials, products, and components on the front end for quality and appearance.* Inspects finished materials, components, products, and containers on the back end for quality and appearance; advises machine operators of any deficiencies.* Assists with changeover of lines by filling labels, bundling wrap, caps, bottles, and boxes.* Performs general housekeeping and cleanup on and around lines during downtime and at the end of runs as required.In addition to working in a strategic, dynamic and collaborative work environment, with a tight knit team, The Watkins Company offers a top notch benefits package including Medical, Dental, Life and AD&D Insurance as well as a generous PTO package available upon hire, 10 paid holidays and dollar for dollar 401k match!The Watkins Company is an equal opportunity employer.## QualificationsOur ideal candidate will have at minimum:* High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience and demonstrate applicable reading and math skills.* Previous manufacturing experience - preferred.* The ability to adapt to changing working environments.* Strong problem solving skills and utilize deductive reasoning to evaluate solutions.
