Job summary

The Watkins Company is seeking a full-time Machine Operator for the Winona, MN location to work on the 3rd shift. You will operate production lines, oversee line changes, and perform basic maintenance to keep lines running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong reading and math basics, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will lead by example, adapt to changes, and help train new staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated reading and math skills.
• Baseline mechanical knowledge to assist in repairs.
• Ability to lead by example on production lines.
• Adaptability to changing working environments.
• Strong problem solving and deductive reasoning to evaluate solutions.
• Must pass a strength assessment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate production lines at pre-determined speeds per standards.
• Provide line change oversight on production lines.
• Address minor maintenance issues on equipment during runs.
• Inspect equipment and advise Maintenance on repairs or replacements.
• Provide work direction to line workers and assist in training new employees.
• Perform general housekeeping on and around lines during downtime and at end of runs.
• Monitor finished product for safety and quality control.
