Job summary

Sonoco Products Company in Woodland, WA is hiring a Production Worker for the day shift (Monday–Friday) with overtime as needed. Pay is $26.02 per hour, with 8–10 hour days. You will assist machine operators, package product, operate a forklift, and help recycle cores and scrap material in a safety‑minded environment.

Excellent attendance is essential. Responsibilities include loading tubes, labeling, inspecting and packing, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed to working safely and quality focused.
  • Previous forklift experience beneficial.
  • Experience working in an industrial / manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
  • You can lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently assist machine tenders or others with the physical requirements of operations.
  • Operate small hand-type or less complicated equipment.
  • Remove tubes from overhead dryer chain conveyor.
  • Load tubes on trucks and label them properly.
  • Place scrap on carts to be hauled away.
  • Inspect and pack tubes.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.

Shift: Day shift Monday – Friday (8 – 10 hours per day, shift times TBD)

While reporting to the production supervisor, you will be responsible for but not limited to working safely, attention to quality, supporting the machine operators by packaging product, driving fork truck, recycling cores and paper scrap, training for and filling in for machine operators. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success.


What You Will Be Doing
