Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor/Team Leader, the Production Worker will perform various tasks on a production line. Responsibilities include processing, sorting, packing, and operating process machinery. The Production Worker must maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean work environment by following food and workplace safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist line operators with process issues, make equipment adjustments to ensure smooth operation.
  • Monitor product conformity, ensure compliance with company standards, and perform equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Record production data such as quantity, weight, size, and types of products packaged.
  • Report any production problems that could affect performance according to company standards.
  • Assist with changeovers of production lines.
  • Rotate and learn different areas of the production line, including multiple lines and product types.
  • Relieve team members during breaks, lunches, absences, or vacations.
  • Maintain positive, respectful, and open communication with team members.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, working with the team to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or food production experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in food production preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and changing environment.
  • Willingness to learn multiple positions and work varying schedules.
  • Ability to follow health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical endurance; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Willingness to work 10-12 hour shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
  • This role is classified as a safety-sensitive position.

Essential functions include:

  • Lifting from floor to waist up to 63 lbs. (33% of the time).
  • Lifting from waist to shoulder up to 43 lbs. (33% of the time).
  • Pushing/pulling a maximum force of 86 lbs.
