Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions in Kentucky is seeking a Production Worker to support all phases of assembling materials for customer orders, receiving new and returned product, and maintaining safety and quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic English fluency, and the ability to operate equipment; training is provided and performance is monitored through job cost data input and routine maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• One or more-year(s) experience as warehouse clerk preferred.
• General fluency in English required, verbal and written.
• Basic computer literacy preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery.
• Perform all jobs within the crew, e.g., operator, feeder, stacker.
• Remove and position printing plates and/or cutting dyes.
• Set up slot heads as well as attachments, e.g., pull bands and dye boards.
• Train crew members as to duties assigned to them.
• Input data into computer for job cost performance.
• Trouble shoot machines; knowledge of how to fix problems.
• Contact maintenance technician when necessary.
• Follow processes and procedures for all machinery.
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

The starting rate is$17.50 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
