Job description

Trillium Staffing is now seeking Production Workers on 1st shift!

1st Shift: Standard Hours Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm with some OT (but not guaranteed). Starting rate of pay is $17/hr.

Job duties:

1. Reads and interprets batch specifications/instructions to select the correct equipment and packaging materials for the product.
2. Fills, secures, and labels containers according to company and/or customer specifications in a quick and accurate fashion.
3. Verifies goods packaged against order information on tablet and delivers the packaged product to the appropriate area.
4. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) within a food packaging industry.
5. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
6. Operates machinery used in the packaging process or assists other compounders or packagers.
7. Observes equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notifies management of any malfunctions.
8. Packs products in boxes, pails, or drums as instructed in a timely manner with accuracy.
9. Verifies label accuracy and applies labels to the correct product and container.
10. Lifts finished products and packed items, manually or using hoists.
11. Counts finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
12. Maintains clean/safe work areas, machines, equipment, and product packaging according to safety and SQF standards (proper GMP’s and sanitary procedures).
13. Replenishes supplies as needed.
14. Shares duties of disposing of office trash and recyclables and restocking supplies in the restroom, break room areas and on the production floor.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma (or GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
2. 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
3. Food manufacturing or packaging experience helpful, but not required.
4. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
