Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a part-time press operator helper in Hoopeston, IL. The role involves packaging, inspecting products for quality, and stacking finished goods on pallets. You will also perform cleaning, sorting, and cover for operators when needed.

• Fill in for operators as needed and perform other duties assigned by management.

Essential Job Functions:

• Various clean-up tasks, part sorting, and filling in for operators when needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, use decimals and fractions
• Good English speaking and writing skills
• Experience using computers, copiers, calculators, scanners, and printers

Experience/Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended periods while running machinery up to 12 hours
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
