Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a Production Worker in Hartsville, SC, offering $22.43 per hour plus a potential monthly bonus. The role supports winding/finishing operations with rotating 7:00 am–3:00 pm and 3:00 pm–11:00 pm shifts, with overtime possible.

Responsibilities include assisting tenders, handling tubes, labeling, packing, and maintaining safety and efficiency. Candidates should have a solid safety record, be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, and have experience in labor-intensive

Qualifications

• Safety training and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to operate small hand-type equipment.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous labor-intensive manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine tenders with the physical requirements of operations.
• Operate small hand-type or simple equipment.
• Load tubes on trucks and label them.
• Remove tubes from overhead dryer chain conveyor.
• Inspect, pack, and handle scrap as assigned.

Rate: $22.43/hr + potential monthly bonus

Shift: Rotating 1st & 2nd shift (7:00 am - 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm)

The Hartsville Converting Operations has an opening for a Production Worker. This position will be under the general direction of the Winding and/or Finishing Shift Supervisor.

What you will be doing:

• responsible for safely and efficiently assisting machine tenders or others with the physical requirements of the assigned operations
• require operating small hand-type or less complicated equipment
• removing tubes from overhead dryer chain conveyor
• loading tubes on trucks and labeling them properly
• placing scrap on carts to be hauled away
• inspection and packing tubes
• other essential duties as assigned

We'd love to hear from you if:

• have a very good record in the areas of safety, work history, attendance and housekeeping
• Able to work o/t, weekends, and holidays
• Have a history of labor intensive work experience
• Fork truck experience preferred
