Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a dedicated production/warehouse associate to support our food production line in Greensboro, NC. The role involves setting up line equipment, ensuring GMP and safety standards, and maintaining efficient product flow from start to finish.

You will work with the Production Planner to select raw materials, perform quality checks, and handle packaging and labeling tasks. A forklift certification is preferred; high school diploma or GED required; 6 months to 1 year of

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse and/or production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of work history.
• Forklift certification preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork; verify ingredients, supplies, and packaging for operations.
• Work with the Production Planner to select appropriate raw materials for daily production.
• Put on all required PPE and safety gear.
• Set up/assemble line equipment per work order; perform metal detector checks and startup the line.
• Monitor the process; complete quality checks; change label rolls; check packaging and finished cases.
• Troubleshoot problems; make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
• Facilitate production; maintain the scale area; assist with line supply and line personnel (un-box/reduction/palletize).
• At end of shift, secure all equipment; perform housekeeping duties; complete required paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned; comply with policies and standards.

Position Summary

Set-up and maintain line equipment, monitor the process, direct, facilitate and assist production line personnel with the preparation and packaging products ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork verify ingredients / supplies / packaging and prepare for operations.


• Work closely with the Production Planner to select the appropriate raw materials for daily production requirements.


• Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.


• Set-up / assemble line equipment in accordance with the work order, perform metal detector checks and start up the line.


• Monitor the process, complete quality checks, change label rolls, check packaging and finished cases as required.


• Troubleshoot problems make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment change, harp assembles and blades, as needed.


• Facilitate production, maintain the scale area, assist with line supply and assist line personnel (un-box /reduction / palletize).


• At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.


• Performs other duties as assigned

Schedule

Sunday to Thursday 7am until finish.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience:

• 6 Months - 1 Year
