Job summary

Civil Recruit is seeking a hands-on dairy production worker for a 90 days temp-to-perm assignment at the Bellevue Milk Plant in Bellevue, WA. The role requires operating pasteurization or dairy processing equipment, following SOPs, and maintaining food safety and quality standards.

The position offers day-to-day shifts with overtime, a union onsite workplace, and a pay rate up to $34 per hour with or without a Pasteurizer's License depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Past urizer license preferred or the manager seeks 6–12 months experience operating dairy equipment.
  • Ability to follow recipes, measurements and instructions accurately.
  • Physical stamina to stand long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and GMP policies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor dairy production processes and follow SOPs for batching and processing.
  • Communicate with departments and notify management of production issues.
  • Document information per federal, state and company policies.
  • Monitor fats, solids, allergens, and other quality parameters.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment including CIP and hand cleaning.
  • Operate and clean equipment to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze process data to improve quality and throughput.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and safety standards.
  • Report food safety and quality issues to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain a safe work environment.

Job description

This role is 90 days temp to perm. If candidates is hired, they must join the onsite union.

Location for role is Bellevue Milk Plant : 1500 - 124th Ave., N.E., Bellevue, WA, 98005

Submission Rate for candidates with Pasteurizer's License up to $34.00 p/h

Submission Rate for candidates without a Pasteurizer's License up to $30.00 p/h

Shifts
  • 1 Swing Shift (2pm to 10:30pm) Schedule will be Monday through Friday
  • 1 Grave Shift (10pm to 6:30am) Schedule will be Sunday through Thursday
  • Candidates must be flexible for overtime if needed.
Responsibilities
  • Closely monitor the dairy production process and follow Standard Operating Procedures for batching and processing products.
  • Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
  • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with Federal, State, and Company Laws/Policies.
  • Monitor fats, total solids, allergens, and other related items as they associate with processing dairy products.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment including CIP & hand cleaning.
  • Operate and clean equipment with a sense of urgency to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Follow all required work safe practices.
  • Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must always maintain and promote a safe working environment and have a safety-first mindset.
  • Follow and maintain 5S standards for work areas and comply with company GMP standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
