Job summary

John Deere Dubuque Works seeks a Production Welder to perform welding operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, focusing on safety, quality, and teamwork to support world-class equipment production. You will read work instructions, set up and operate MIG and other welding processes, document production data, and assist teammates.

A weld cert or 6 months welding experience, plus HS diploma, are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NCRC certification or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Weld certification (or equivalent) or at least 6 months welding in manufacturing.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work any shift/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Weld parts and sub-assemblies to specification using various welding processes.
• Adjust voltage, heat, pressure, and speed to maintain quality.
• Read and follow work instructions and procedures.
• Record data and maintain quality/maintenance records.
• Check results for conformance and correct as needed.
• Operate forklifts and industrial trucks to move materials and equipment.
• Use CNC/robotic welding equipment, safety gear, grinders, hoists, and hand tools.
• Lubricate, check, and clean equipment and tooling.
• Assist and support team members; keep work area clean.
