Job summary

Magna International, Cosma International division, is hiring a Production Welder in Liberty, MO. This hands-on role performs MIG welding and weld inspections in a fast-paced automotive environment.

You will troubleshoot defects, operate grinders, and maintain tooling while following strict work instructions. The position offers benefits starting Day One, a schedule with rotating shifts, and opportunities to contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass welding competency tests.
• Experience with MIG welding required.
• Experience with MIG braze, ARC welding, TIG welding, and plasma cutting preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, grinders, and powered equipment.
• Basic OSHA and workplace safety knowledge preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a production environment.
• Manufacturing or automotive production experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and MIG braze welding on automotive components.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct weld defects when necessary.
• Operate grinders, scrapers, and other powered equipment used in welding operations.

• Follow standardized work instructions and production requirements.
• Maintain documentation related to production, scrap, and rework.
• Support safety, quality, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production leadership to achieve daily production goals.
