Job summary

New Flyer is seeking an experienced welder for 2nd shift in Minnesota, operating welding machines to join components per fixtures and procedures. Must read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and perform MIG welding with quality and efficiency.

The position requires 2–3 years of heavy manufacturing welding experience, strong teamwork, and good communication skills. Training days possible initially, with a union contract as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• Two to three years' welding experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Have great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous experience with 5S and lean manufacturing would be considered an asset.
• Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures and practices.

Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the welding team, this position will be responsible to operate welding machines and work with a variety of weld fixtures while adhering to the CWB welding procedures.
