Job summary

RealTruck, a premier manufacturer of truck and off-road accessories, is seeking a welding technician to perform MIG and TIG welding on a range of components. You will set up parts according to work orders and prints, weld in multiple positions, and ensure quality by testing welded surfaces and structures.

Safety and equipment maintenance are emphasized as you strive to meet hourly/daily productivity targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and specifications.
• Basic measurement skills (tape measure, fractions).

Responsibilities

• Weld components using MIG and TIG welding equipment in various positions (vertical/horizontal).
• Set up components for welding according to work orders and prints.
• Repair, test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws.
• Maintain welding equipment in safe working condition.

Core Functions

• Perform MIG & TIG welding on products.
• Perform cosmetic welding on products.
• Must be able to meet daily productivity and output goals (production outputs are measured hourly/daily).
• Set up components for welding according to specifications, work orders and/or prints.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical/ horizontal).
• Repair product and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Cut aluminum to specifications.
