Description

SUMMARY: The Production & Warehouse Supervisor oversees the manufacturing of linear motion systems, including ball rail and aluminum rail. Responsibilities include supervising receiving, picking, packing, and shipping functions, ensuring operational standards and business objectives are met.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct workload assessments and shift resources based on priority.
• Expedite requests from multiple departments and locations.
• Cut, profile, and package linear rail.
• Ensure fabrication and assembly are completed as expected.
• Manage inventory through lot control and receive rail into inventory.
• Provide regular reports to management.
• Communicate job status and resolve order issues proactively.
• Contribute to design team with assembly feedback and recommendations.
• Ensure assemblies meet specifications and standards.
• Maintain workshop machinery and tools in good condition.
• Manage time effectively to meet schedules.
• Follow quality policies and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Optimize space utilization and oversee inventory management, receiving, and shipping.
• Verify incoming shipments and inspect materials.
• Expedite outgoing shipments to meet goals.
• Perform cycle counts for inventory accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate's degree in manufacturing or logistics, or 5+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing.

Experience: Operating machine shop equipment, reading engineering drawings, experience in ISO9001/AS9100 environments, warehouse functions, electronic manifesting, LTL freight shipping, forklift certification, and RFID/WIFI data collection.

Skills & Abilities: Mechanical aptitude, independent work, prototype environment experience, math skills, communication, organization, problem-solving, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with tools and measurements.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The role involves active, fast-paced work with frequent reaching, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, and machinery. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required.
