Job summary

Amcor in Easthampton, MA is hiring a production associate to feed products onto conveyors or machines, visually inspect for defects, and pack quality product into cartons or trays. The role requires mechanical ability and the ability to perform setups and changeovers as needed.

The successful candidate will stack shipments, maintain supplies, assist technicians, and keep the line clean and safe while meeting customer specs.

Qualifications

  • Must have mechanical ability and be able to perform setups and changeovers.
  • Visually inspect products for quality defects and ensure correct packing.
  • Ability to maintain correct product counts and stack shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Feed product onto the conveyor or into the machine, discarding defective pieces.
  • Unload finished product and inspect for quality according to specifications; pack into cartons or trays.
  • Stack cartons, boxes or trays on skid for shipping and maintain correct product count.
  • Maintain adequate corrugate supply and create boxes/trays as required.
  • Perform setups and changeovers to manufacturing equipment per customer specs.
  • Assist Machine Technicians on various processes as needed.
  • Clean ink stations, ink wells, coating pans, screens, ink knives and squeegees.
  • Wipe blankets and clear minor jams.
  • Provide ongoing visual inspections and report defects or malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate mechanical ability in daily tasks.

  • Unload finished product from the conveyor or machine cycle, visually inspecting for any obvious quality defects according to specifications and pack quality product in carton or tray.
  • Stack cartons, boxes or trays on skid for shipping and maintain correct product count.
  • Maintain adequate supply of corrugate on the line, make boxes and trays as required
  • Ability to do setups and changeovers to manufacturing equipment in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Provide assistance to Machine Technicians on various processes as needed
  • Cleaning ink stations, ink wells, coating pans, screens, ink knives and squeegies
  • Wiping blankets
  • Clearing minor jams
  • Assistance on C/O with tooling
  • Performs continual visual inspections of product, notifying appropriate team member of quality defects or machine malfunctions.
  • Candidate should have mechanical ability.

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $19.62/hr.; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills and experience between $17 and $24/hr.
