Job summary

Amcor in Madisonville, KY is seeking a manufacturing associate to support packaging lines, monitor quality, and uphold safety standards. The role involves completing paperwork, following customer packaging instructions, and maintaining a clean work area.

You will collaborate with leads and operators to address quality issues and ensure efficient production. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to stand for long shifts, and the capacity to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma / GED equivalent and ability to calculate parts requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to stand/walk for 10 plus hours of a 12-hour shift.
  • Minimal lifting capabilities of 35 lbs.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance and read 10–12-point print at close range.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure quality across production.
  • Complete the corresponding paperwork for each order.
  • Review work order routing notes for customer packaging instructions.
  • Communicate with operators taking over your machine about quality issues or specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to safety rules.
  • Notify leads if there are questions about quality or parts produced.
  • Remove rolled material from the extruder unwind and pack finished product in all departments.
  • Place completed boxes on skids and load machines with WIP.

  • Monitor and ensure quality
  • Complete the corresponding paperwork for each order.
  • Review work order routing notes for customer required packaging instructions.
  • Communicate with operators taking over your machine any quality issues you have encountered throughout the shift or customer specifications on the current order.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Notify Lead person, Assistant Group Leader, or Group Leader if there are any questions concerning the quality of parts being produced.
  • Remove rolled material from extruder unwind.
  • Place completed boxes on skids.
  • Fill/ load machines with WIP. (i.e.: blanks, bottom stock).
  • Stock and clean supply area with tape, bags, stretch wrap, etc...
  • Assist lead person and other inspector operators in their section.
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and department of health requirements.
  • Start and stop equipment.
  • Must be able to pack and/or load up to three cup formers or two die cutters at a time.
  • Any other duties required by the leadership team.
