Job summary

Western Container Corporation is seeking a Utility Operator in Beloit, WI to support the Production department. You will set up and run the Pre-Print machine, drive a forklift, and assist with box-truck deliveries as needed, ensuring safety and quality in daily operations.

The role requires basic CAM software and Microsoft Office familiarity, with a focus on accurate measurements, inventory tasks, and teamwork to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• CAM software knowledge preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Pre-Print machine to meet facility needs.
• Drive a forklift safely.
• Operate the Western Container box truck with intrastate deliveries as needed.
• Perform cycle counts and month-end inventory.
• Maintain 5S warehouse organization and daily upkeep.
• Perform quality checks as needed.
• Ensure safety during shift changes and machine changes.
• Inspect finished workpieces for defects and sort by flaw type.
• Measure pieces with micrometers, gauges, calipers, or rulers.
• Prepare material for shipping with proper identification, tagging and wrapping.
• Collaborate with departments to meet customer satisfaction.
• Stack finished goods on pallets.
• Be flexible to cover vacations and call-ins.
