Job summary

ARAUCO - North America in Malvern is seeking a Production Utility to join our manufacturing team. The role follows a 5/8 schedule (Mon-Fri) with rotating day, swing, and night shifts every four weeks as staffing changes; further schedule adjustments may occur.

You will handle, stack, and grade material up to 18 ft long and 50 lbs, wrap and band units, monitor quality and safety, and assist with housekeeping.

  • Must be able to meet physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving and identifying safety hazards.

Responsibilities

This role currently follows a 5/8, Monday - Friday schedule with rotation from day shift to swing shift to night shift every four weeks. As staffing levels increase, the schedule pattern is expected to change in the future to include additional days and arrangement of hours.

In This Role, You Would Be Doing
  • Handling, stacking, and grading of material up to 18ft in length and weighing up to 50lbs repetitively.
  • Continuous wrapping and sub-bundling of material and stacking of millwork for shipment.
  • General cleaning of work area and surroundings.
  • Banding together units at the end of each production run.
  • Monitor quality of product, equipment, and safety and working with supervisor as issues arise
  • Use a tape measure and miter saw to cut runners and side boards to the proper length for banding.
What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Manufacturing facility experience preferred
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role – including lifting 50 lbs, standing for long periods of time, and completing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to problem solve and identify safety hazards.

What To Expect From Our Process

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
  • Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
