Job summary

At Arauco North America, Inc. in Moncure, NC, the Production Utility Operator role offers a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, days, and weekends. A high school diploma or GED is required, with manufacturing or related experience preferred.

Forklift or heavy equipment experience is a plus, along with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will participate in safety-focused processes, perform material handling and preparation for shipment,

Responsibilities

• Handling, stacking, and grading of material up to 18ft in length and weighing up to 50lbs repetitively.
• Continuous wrapping and sub-bundling of material and stacking of millwork for shipment.
• General cleaning of work area and surroundings.
• Banding together units at the end of each production run.
• Monitor quality of product, equipment, and safety and work with supervisor on issues.
• Use a tape measure and miter saw to cut runners and side boards to length for banding.

This role is on a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights, days, and weekends. What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma/GED.required


• Manufacturing, warehouse, production, assembly or similar experience required


• Forklift, mobile equipment, or heavy equipment experience preferred


• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role – including lifting 50 lbs, standing for long periods of time, and completing repetitive tasks


• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment


• Ability to problem solve and identify safety hazards.


• Must be willing to complete a lifetime (from the age of 17) background check and full panel drug screen

Requirements

• Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.


• Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.


• Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.


• Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
