Job DescriptionJob Summary: Wholesure Inc., a division of Acrisure, is looking for an experienced Production Underwriter. The Production Underwriter is responsible for driving profitable growth through business development, relationship management, underwriting expertise, and placement of commercial insurance risks within the wholesale insurance marketplace. This role serves as a trusted partner to retail agents and carrier partners while developing and managing a profitable book of business. The Production Underwriter combines sales, underwriting, and relationship management skills to achieve production goals and deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities:Sales & Marketing (45%), Business Development & Relationship Management, Underwriting & Broking (45%), Technical Underwriting Responsibilities, Agency Service & Operational Excellence (10%).

Requirements:Strong sales and relationship-building skills. Sound underwriting and risk analysis capabilities. Effective negotiation and communication skills. Ability to develop and manage a profitable book of business. Strong organizational and time management skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities. Working knowledge of agency management and underwriting systems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Regional travel is expected.
Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of wholesale insurance underwriting, brokerage, or related commercial insurance experience. Demonstrated success in business development and production underwriting. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles. Property & Casualty license or willingness to obtain within 90 days required. Professional designations such as AU, CIC, CPCU, CRIS, or progress toward designation preferred.
Pay Details: The base compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
