Job summary

Accumold is seeking a Production Training & Development Specialist in Ankeny, IA. You will onboard and train new production staff across micro and small mold areas, ensuring proficiency in tasks, quality standards, and safety requirements.

You will monitor performance, identify training gaps, and implement corrective training with close cooperation with Production, Quality, and HR teams to maintain high-quality output.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in plastic part manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand measurements and inspection equipment used to monitor quality.
• Willingness to learn IQMS ISMECA and other production software.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and train new production employees in the Micro Mold and Small Mold departments.
• Ensure trainees understand work instructions, quality requirements, safety procedures, and department expectations.
• Evaluate trainee performance and communicate progress to management.
• Conduct observations and audits on the production floor for compliance.
• Develop and update training materials and work instructions.
• Collaborate with supervisors to identify skill gaps and plan training.
• Coordinate refresher and cross-training initiatives as needed.
• Track training completion and effectiveness; aim to reduce defects.
