Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Morristown, TN is seeking a Production Trainer to develop operator capabilities in the Press department and support safe, efficient production of high-quality printed materials.

You will provide hands-on training for P3, P2, P1, and Setup Technicians, demonstrate best practices for setup, operation, troubleshooting, and ensure standards for safety, quality, and waste are met. The role requires shift flexibility and collaboration with Maintenance and Technical teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Press I, II, III and Setup classifications.
• P3 Tech III Level II with ≥5 years in that role and KPI track record.
• Advanced knowledge of press setup, operation, registration, color control, web handling, ink systems, and print-quality troubleshooting.
• Ability to train, coach, motivate and direct operators.
• Forklift operation as required.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times while following all plant safety rules and PPE.
• Train and develop employees in P3, P2, P1, and Setup Technician positions as needed.
• Demonstrate best practices for safely setting up, operating, and troubleshooting press equipment.
• Lead and provide direction to Press Operators and support departments assigned to the press.
• Set the standard for product quality and ensure finished products meet customer requirements.
• Set up and run press jobs, establish registration, and achieve required color specifications.
• Troubleshoot print defects and coach operators on resolving production issues.
• Adjust heat, tension, and device settings to resolve repeat issues.
