Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Waco, TX is hiring a Press Make Ready Technician for 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM). You'll prepare and stage press components to support printing operations and production flow.

Reporting to the Department Supervisor, responsibilities include cleaning parts, organizing materials, troubleshooting during setup, and maintaining a safe, efficient work area. Strong communication and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required; candidates with manufacturing experience and the required literacy, numeracy, and technical skills will be considered regardless of educational background.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to follow PPE and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams
• Prepare printing press parts by cleaning, wiping, and washing components
• Pull, sort, and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards
• Open bales, crates, and containers as needed
• Troubleshoot issues and make quick decisions during setup activities
• Make basic process adjustments and monitor product quality
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Perform duties assigned by supervisor or manager
• Support company quality and safety policies
• Assist other departments as needed
• Wear required PPE at all times
