Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Operator II/Trainer, Production Technical Operations to operate the production line and train staff on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and regulatory compliance to deliver reliable eyecare products.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure schedules, targets, and cost objectives are met, while coaching associates and maintaining rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication.
• Technical degree or certification in engineering, science, IT, or related field.
• Prior manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience leading, training, mentoring, or coaching employees.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of GMP/GxP or regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment.
• Coordinate and monitor production workflow to meet schedules and costs.
• Review work orders, allocate resources, and support daily activities.
• Move, pack, sort, and handle raw materials and finished goods.
• Monitor product quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain production and quality documentation for compliance and traceability.
• Provide guidance on manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Ensure associates are trained and certified per SOPs and track progress.
• Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of new processes.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and safety.
• Troubleshoot process issues and support cost objectives.
