Job summary

Terumo Neuro is seeking a Training Production Associate on site in California to train manufacturing staff, maintain training records, and support the training team. You will deliver process instruction, manage documentation, and assist with continuous improvement of training methods in a GMP/GDP environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum four years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge in minimum six production line operations.
  • Knowledge of GMPs and GDPs.
  • Ability to perform assembly work with small/detailed parts using a microscope or vision system.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication.
  • Understanding of basic mathematics and ability to read blueprints.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Train Production Associates in manufacturing processes and maintain training records.
  • Submit training materials in accordance with the quality system.
  • Support production and the training team as required.
  • Conduct new hire introductions to the production line and systems.
  • Provide operational training on released process instructions, materials, equipment, and tooling.
  • Keep training records and respond to training requests.
  • Identify training needs with leadership and prioritize skill development.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of training methods and documentation.

Job description

Train Production Associates in manufacturing processes as a qualified trainer, maintain assigned training records, submit training materials in according with the quality system, and support production and the training team as required.

  • Perform basic new hire introduction to the production line, area, and systems
  • Work with Production Training team to obtain training records required to complete process training
  • Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble product, record data, and maintain a safe work area
  • Provide operational training to Production Assemblers, including the use of released process instructions, materials, equipment, systems, and tooling
  • Keep training records and training requests up to date
  • Work independently with minimal direction
  • Responsible for learning and maintaining knowledge and skills to perform majority of the manufacturing processes
  • Support the production line during periods when no training tasks are assigned
  • Partner with production and training leadership to identify training needs and prioritize skill development
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiaves related to training methods, documentation, and execution
  • Efficiently convey knowledge, deliver effective training, and provide information to Supervisors regarding production issues and training progress
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adheres to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum four (4) years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge in minimum six (6) production line operations
  • Knowledge of Clean Room regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
  • Ability to perform assembly work with small and detailed parts using a microscope, vision system, and/or other related automated equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Understanding of basic mathematics, specifications, and percentages, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Capable of calculating basic indicators
  • Proficiency in using basic measurement techniques such as scales, rulers, and measurement systems, and understanding their care
  • Basic computer skills including MS Word and Outlook

Physical
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing
  • Moderate periods of computer use
  • Extended periods of working in a cleanroom or controlled environment, adhering to strict gowning and hygiene requirements
  • Adequate vision (with or without corrective lenses), manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination for precision assembly work, including performing detailed tasks under a microscope for extended periods
  • Frequent use of arms, hands, fingers, and wrists for precision work (e.g., gripping, grasping, pinching, twisting, and pulling)
  • Occasional bending, twisting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 15 lbs. frequently
  • May work with machinery and chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, and gowns, may be required in controlled environments
