Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Diego, CA seeks a Production Test Technician – Level 1 for the 2nd shift. You will perform day-to-day testing in the Filter Test Lab and ensure test results meet program requirements.

This onsite role offers a 9/80 schedule with hours 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM, with 100% onsite work and no telecommuting. US citizenship is required, and a Secret clearance is needed. Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Active Secret clearance is preferred.
• Experience with avionics or electronics is preferred.
• Experience with testing (developmental or operational) is preferred.
• Experience with ESD and FOD control, and familiarity with FAR/ITAR/AS9100/ISO 9001 is a plus.
• Experience with filter tuning and RF theory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day work in the Filter Test Lab.
• Support production test activities on the 2nd shift.
• Maintain accurate test records and report results.
• Adhere to regulatory and quality requirements (FAR/ITAR/AS9100/ISO 9001).

Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems is seeking a Production Test Technician – Level 1 to join our team in San Diego, CA for 2nd Shift. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This position will be performing day-to-day work in the Filter Test Lab.

The hours for this position are 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance.
• Experience working with avionics or electronics.
• Advanced education in avionics or electronics.
• Developmental or operational test experience.
• Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.
• Experience with MS Office products.
• Experience with FAR, ITAR, AS9100, and/or ISO 90001 rules and regulations.
• Experience with filter tuning
• Experience with RF Theory

Primary Level Salary Range: $43,400.00 - $72,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
