Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Madison, AL is seeking a Production Test Technician 1 to support the EPIC facility. You will evaluate products, interpret schematics, perform tests, and report data while adhering to security requirements and production goals.

The role requires an Associate degree in a STEM field and 1 year of experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Occasional overtime and weekend shifts may apply in a fast-paced production environment.

• Perform incoming product evaluations, safely handle electrostatic sensitive devices, record test data and record non-conformances.
• Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, technical publications, maintenance manuals, and written instructions to troubleshoot units under test.
• Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups.
• Follow all program and site security requirements.
• The ideal candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs., pay attention to detail with a focus on quality output, work in a team environment where daily communication and interaction is required, willing to work in a production environment with production goals and deadlines, and be able to learn to perform work responsibilities with limited supervision.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Production Test Technician 1 located at the Enhanced Production & Integration Center (EPIC) located in Madison, AL.

What you'll get to do:

• Perform incoming product evaluations, safely handle electrostatic sensitive devices, record test data, and record non-conformances.
• Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, technical publications, maintenance manuals, and written instructions to troubleshoot units under test.
• Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups.
• Follow all program and site security requirements.
• The ideal candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs., pay attention to detail with a focus on quality output, work in a team environment where daily communication and interaction is required, willing to work in a production environment with production goals and deadlines, and be able to learn to perform work responsibilities with limited supervision. Candidate must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that includes extended shifts, may include holidays, and weekends as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associates degree in a Stem Related field and 1 year experience
• MS Office experience.
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance.
• Test & Troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Configuration Management and/or Mission Assurance concepts.
• Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.
• Experience with CUI (control unclassified information) and COMSEC (communication security).

Primary Level Salary Range: $41,300.00 - $68,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
