Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in St. Louis is seeking a Production Test Pilot to conduct flight test evaluations of production aircraft, engines, and avionics, ensuring conformity with design and performance specs.

Under the direction of senior pilots, you will support Airborne Customer Support, corporate transportation, demonstrations, and production/test operations. Candidates should have GVII/GVIII type ratings, CFI, and be able to maintain FAA Class 1 Medical.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; 5 years flight experience as a professional pilot in aviation industry required.
• 1500 hours total flight time or 1000 hours PIC of turbine powered aircraft. Gulfstream type rating preferred.
• ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) Upon Hire required.
• FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate Upon Hire required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct flight test evaluations of production aircraft, engines, avionics systems and related systems to ensure conformance with design and performance specs.
• Operate Gulfstream aircraft domestically and internationally when qualified.
• Communicate with Gulfstream personnel to facilitate effective support for Gulfstream and customers.
• Coordinate assessment and repair of aircraft issues with Maintenance, Production/Completion, and Technical Operations as needed.

Unique Skills:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

• In accordance with Gulfstream Flight Operations FOM/SOP, as crew, domestically and internationally (when qualified), operate Gulfstream aircraft in support of Airborne Customer Support (ACS), corporate transportation, customer accommodation, demonstration, Gulfstream maintenance, production test, and any other functions as assigned .
• Must possess a broad knowledge and understanding of flight operations .
• Communicate with Gulfstream personnel to facilitate effective support of Gulfstream and our Customers .
• Manage and execute any assigned ancillary responsibilities .
• Adhere to Gulfstream corporate policies, department Flight Operations Manual (FOM) policies and procedures .
• Effectively coordinate the assessment and repair of aircraft issues with Corporate Maintenance, Production/Completion, and Technical Operations as needed .

Additional Functions:

• Proactively assist Gulfstream Dispatch with planning and coordination of flight activity .
• Manage the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flight activities .
• Strive to be a positive brand ambassador for Gulfstream and General Dynamics .
