Job summary

The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. in Cambridge, MA leads a new Production Test Development and Execution group within the PMOE division.

This Group Leader will manage 10–16 members to mature Draper hardware to production readiness, coordinating with program offices, customers, and other engineering groups to deliver validated test packages for seamless handoff to production. Requires a degree in Engineering and 7+ years in complex systems engineering with leadership, plus DoD/space

Qualifications

7+ years of engineering experience in design, development, and management of complex systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to supervise a team of 10–20 and collaborate across groups.

Responsibilities

Define group vision, technical roadmap, and metrics; plan multi-year resourcing and budgets.
Establish end-to-end logistics processes and compliance with relevant standards.
Lead hardware/software integration and test campaigns; ensure procedures are mature and traceable to requirements.
Develop production hand-off packages and coordinate with Operations for smooth transition.
Mentor and develop group members; conduct performance reviews and staffing planning.
Engage with program offices, customers, and external partners to align roadmaps and support models.
