Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major and enrolled through internship/co‑op.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.
• Experience can be gained through coursework, projects or on‑the‑job experience.

Responsibilities

• Support validation of new or modified test equipment for production use.
• Ensure operation of test equipment and related work instructions are accurate.
• Ensure test equipment and software meet product test requirements.
• Monitor and improve test processes using predictive metrics, trends, failures, and yields.
• Perform preliminary problem investigations.
• Maintain changes to test equipment data packages including drawings and manuals.
• Assist in non‑routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of product/test equipment.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings.

Production Test Engineers(PTE)are part of a manufacturing team who supportthetest process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities.PTEs validatesandensurescomplianceof the prime hardwareto technical data package requirementsand supporting test equipment.Interns will support the troubleshooting and problem solving of test failures while identifyingopportunitiesin test processes to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity.

What You Will Do

• Support the validation ofnew or modified test equipment for production use
• Ensure the operation of test equipment and associated work instructions are accurate
• Ensure test equipment and software meet the test requirements specified for the product
• Monitor and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields
• Perform preliminary investigation of problem resolution
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software
• Assistin non‑routine fault isolation, diagnosisand repair of the product or test equipment
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations andpresent findings

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major, and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
• Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
