Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM major and enrolled through internship session.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience/Education with manufacturing testing processes.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.
  • Preferred: Prior internship experience.
  • Preferred: Experience/Education with technical writing and interpretation of technical documentation.
  • Preferred: 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Raytheon’s internship program is designed to empower growth by exploring the dynamic nature of the defense industry throughout Raytheon Operations, Supply Chain & Quality (OSCQ). Throughout the summer, you will be able to expand your knowledge of OSCQ while also gaining unprecedented exposure to leadership along the way.

Manufacturing engineers are responsible for the interpretation and translation of design requirements into manufacturing processes. They apply production methods expertise to generate processes and provide feedback to the design community. They support factory operations to ensure process and design requirements are satisfied, and drive continuous improvements to reduce cost, defects, and cycle time.

Please Note: This position is located at the Raytheon Diné Facility in Farmington, NM. RTX- Diné Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices.

  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas.
