Raytheon is seeking a Production Test Engineer I (Onsite) in Farmington, NM. This role supports the manufacturing test process, validating hardware and test equipment against technical requirements. Responsibilities include troubleshooting test failures, improving test processes for efficiency and yield, investigating problems, and maintaining test equipment documentation. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field, and experience with test equipment and defense manufacturing. The role is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship.

Raytheon's Production Test Engineers(PTE)are part of a manufacturing team who supportthetest process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities. A PTE validatesandensurescomplianceof the prime hardwareto technical data package requirementsand supporting test equipment. Interns will support the troubleshooting and problem solving of test failures while identifyingopportunitiesin test processes to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity.

What You Will Do
  • Support the validation ofnew or modified test equipment for production use
  • Ensure the operation of test equipment and associated work instructions are accurate
  • Ensure test equipment and software meet the test requirements specified for the product
  • Monitor and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields
  • Perform preliminary investigation of problem resolution
  • Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software
  • Assistin non-routine fault isolation, diagnosisand repair of the product or test equipment
  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations andpresent findings
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
  • Experience with Test Equipment
  • Experience in a Defense Manufacturing environment
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
