Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Production Test Engineer for our McAlester, OK site. You will shape test strategies, validate hardware against data packages, and ensure proper test equipment and software compliance.

You will lead and train test engineers, monitor metrics, and investigate issues to improve yields and processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. U.S. citizenship with DoD clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, product and/or test environment.
  • Experience with data analysis or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

  • Validating new or modified test equipment for production use, ensuring accuracy of work instructions and that test equipment and software meet product‑specific test requirements.
  • Coaching & providing technical training to other test engineers.
  • Monitoring and improving test processes through analysis of predictive metrics, failure mode and test yields.

What You Will Do

As a Sr. Production Test Engineer you’ll influence test strategies, architectures, systems and transition to production through data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies. You’ll also validate and ensure compliance of the prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment.

This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s McAlester, OK site.

Qualifications
Must Have
  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing, product and/or test environment
  • Experience with data analysis or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Prefer
  • Experience with advanced electronics/electrical engineering, basic mechanical engineering or basic computer programming
  • Experience with hands‑on hardware integration and troubleshooting
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to develop sustaining solutions to routine technical problems
  • Preferred college degrees include: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics
What We Offer
  • The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
