BAE Systems is growing in Endicott, NY thanks to our exciting new Aircraft Electrification program. The Aircraft Electrification program merges technology from our military and commercial flight control electronics as well as power and propulsion controls products. We need test engineers to develop and support production acceptance test for our complex control and power electronics.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

The successful candidate will:
  • Demonstrate technical ownership of production test on multiple complex programs.
  • Support test technicians with difficult troubleshoot of complex problems.
  • Provide training, guidance and mentoring to test technicians.
  • Support Test Engineering Manager in planning necessary production test resources to support contract commitments including coordinating new purchases and repair and maintenance of existing equipment.
  • Ensure commitment to our "Total customer satisfaction" quality policy.
  • Occasional support after standard hours as needed.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 2 year technical degree or equivalent military experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work independently as part of a larger team
  • Must be self-directed and have the ability to organize workload to develop a plan to maximize efficiency of performing tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as the candidate acts as an interface with internal and external customers

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or similar 4 year technical degree
  • Experience working in a production test environment on military flight controls
  • Experience working with CsGTI, NI TestStand, or similar test executives utilized in the Test Engineering discipline
  • Experience working Labview, Visual Basic or similar programming languages utilized in the Test Engineering discipline

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
