Job summary

Midwest Industrial Supply in Canton, OH is seeking a hands-on Production Technician to help our plant produce and ship quality products safely and on time.

You will produce, package, and label polymer emulsion line products, manage shipping and receiving, transfer bulk material between facilities, track inventory, perform quality checks and maintenance, and contribute to Lean/5S improvements while stopping work for safety or quality concerns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Production or manufacturing experience required.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Produce, package, and label products on our polymer emulsion line, following work orders and the plant schedule.
• Handle shipping and receiving: schedule shipments, check incoming materials, weigh and load orders, and complete paperwork.
• Transfer bulk material by tanker truck between facilities.
• Track inventory, take part in weekly cycle counts, and initiate reorders.
• Perform quality checks and preventive maintenance, and oversee confined-space tank cleaning.
• Contribute to Lean and 5S improvements, and stop work for any safety or quality concern.

What You’ll Do

• Produce, package, and label products on our polymer emulsion line, including Soil Sement and Batch Room products, following work orders and the plant schedule
• Handle shipping and receiving: schedule shipments, check incoming materials, weigh and load orders, and complete paperwork
• Transfer bulk material by tanker truck between facilities
• Track inventory, take part in weekly cycle counts, and initiate reorders
• Perform quality checks and preventive maintenance, and oversee confined-space tank cleaning

What You’ll Bring

Work Environment
Production setting with heavy machinery, noise, confined spaces, ladders, and temperatures from below 32°F to above 100°F. Must lift up to 50 lbs. and be available for extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
