Job summary

Fernway’s Rockford, IL facility is seeking a Production Technician I to execute production activities and support operations. You will set up and maintain equipment, monitor processes, and ensure quality and safety standards are met on a daily basis.

This role emphasizes hands-on work, teamwork, and a proactive attitude. Responsibilities include formulating, filling and packaging products, documenting ERP data, and collaborating with QA to address any deviations.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old with a state-issued driver’s license.
• Experience in a high-volume service or production environment.
• Equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb a ladder.
• Ability to reliably commute to Rockford, IL and work on-site.
• Pass Cannabis regulatory prescreening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain production equipment per established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Perform production tasks such as formulating, filling and packaging products following SOPs.
• Conduct quality checks and report deviations to the QC team.
• Record production data in ERP and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE in a safe work environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and support management with efficiency gains.
• Support warehouse tasks and other duties as needed.
