The role requires manual handling of trays and occasional lifting, with a strong focus on safety and quality. Work involves cleaning extrusion tanks, performing preventive maintenance tasks, and helping reduce rejects and improve on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Identify and segregate product defects that violate specifications.
• Maintain consistent focus on quality and accuracy.
• Take instruction and apply it with sound judgment in various situations.
• Communicate with trayers, operators, and supervisors effectively.
• Adapt to changes in duties and priorities as production demands shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inline equipment to identify non-conforming product and segregate it.
• Tray and box product from the extrusion line when automation is not available.
• Label product for final release with traceability.
• Perform quick visual inspection of tubing coming off the line.
• Support staging of raw material and tooling per production schedule.
• Assist with purging extrusion lines and setting up for the next order.
• Clean extrusion tanks and assist with preventive maintenance as needed.
• Support efforts to improve production efficiency and reduce rejects.
• Train new team members as assigned; follow safety rules at all times.
• Move or lift trays up to roughly 6 pounds when empty.
