Job Description

This role is a part-time on-call position. It helps foster self-reliance, care for the poor and needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items; helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering, thus furthering the mission of the Church. Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, and in compliance with Welfare Services' policies and procedures, the incumbent assists in general labor activities to meet the production plan and maintains a safe and sanitary facility. Duties include assisting on packaging lines, operating minor packaging equipment, stacking products on pallets, preparing packaging lines for daily production, cleaning the facility, and supporting other Production Technicians.

Responsibilities

1. Provide assistance on packaging lines to meet production goals.
2. Maintain sanitation and safety standards of the facility.
3. Prepare packaging lines for daily production runs to ensure GMP and quality control standards are met.
4. Perform general tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn GMP and quality control principles.
• Interpersonal skills reflecting Welfare Services policies and the Church's image.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred

• Two years of formal technical training.
