Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Production Technician for the Kiefel line. You will operate, monitor and adjust production equipment, load supplies, perform quality checks, and document manufacturing data. Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1–2 years Production Technician or manufacturing experience.
• Basic English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions and safety/quality instructions.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
• Proficient with calipers, snap gauges, rulers, and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust a Kiefel machine using controls on an electrical control panel (HMI) or by making manual adjustments.
• Load and replenish production supplies at a rate consistent with production needs.
• Perform scheduled quality checks, disposition product, identify deviations and take appropriate action (including stopping production if necessary).
• Inspect finished product to ensure quality standards are met.
• Load and secure finished product in mobile closets.
• Execute machine changeovers when assigned (material changeovers only).
• Document required information on manufacturing logs and/or POMS system.
• Identify and correct or escalate inefficiencies in machine performance.
• Test, inspect and package Inter-Plant Shipping Orders (IPSO).
• Notify supervisor of safety, quality, or mechanical issues and take appropriate action.
• Apply rigorous quality standards, SOPs and cGMP; sustain a 6S compliant workspace.
