Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience
• Previous food plant experience and forklift license required
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to stand 60–90% of the day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and move 35 lb hoses

Responsibilities

• Set up machines to specification; fill and label products; clean and sanitize equipment between orders
• Read batch reports to set up machines to order specification
• Verify batch weights and quantities using basic calculations
• Assist Group Leader and Production Supervisor in training new employees and conducting competency reviews
• Understand and follow all plant policies concerning safety, emergency, conduct, maintenance and sanitation
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices for care, handling and storage of food products
