You will assist senior technicians with tooling changes, material handling, and line start-ups, ensuring machines run reliably and comply with quality policies. Forklift operation and paperwork accuracy are part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat, clean, orderly work area and cleans machines and work areas after a change/work is completed.
• Assists higher level Process Techs online/tooling changes and in starting up extrusion lines.
• Keeps machines running at standard and meeting QA specifications on finished product.
• Assists in maintaining paperwork as required and ensures each machine has correct parts identified for the scheduled run.
• Assists in identifying correct materials and attaching them to the extrusion machine.
• Operates a forklift with an approved license (or working toward it with HR/training).
• Supports the established Quality Policy and fulfills roles in the quality system manual, directives and work instructions.
• Performs and documents QC measurements including visual inspections to ensure product is within specification.
• Fills out production tickets with proper information for audit stations (e.g., part number, weight of lift).

• Assists higher level Process Techs to keep the machines running at standard and meeting Quality Assurance specifications on finished product.

• Assist in higher level Process Techs in maintaining proper paperwork as required. Ensures that every machine has the correct part(s) identified as scheduled to run in the extrusion line.

• Assist in higher level Process Techs in identifying correct materials and making material attachments to the extrusion machine.

• Ability to operate a forklift in accordance with state and local regulations with an approved forklift license (may be working toward the license with plant H.R./training dept.).

• Supports the established Quality Policy

• Fulfills role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instructions.

• Perform and document QC measurements including visual inspection to ensure product is within specification.

• Fills out production tickets with the proper information for audit station one. I.e. part number, weight of lift etc.
