Job summary

Calbee America Inc. is seeking a production-oriented team member for the Boardman, OR manufacturing site. You will inspect equipment, coordinate flavoring with packaging film, and ensure strong bag seals to support the production schedule.

You’ll work with Quality Control and other production teams to maintain high standards and on-time output. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Ability to read and analyze production data and records.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment daily to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Coordinate flavoring with packaging film and verify seals.
• Inspect bag seams to confirm strong seals.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain standards and records.
• Operate to keep production flow efficient and on schedule.
• Troubleshoot and address potential equipment issues on the floor.
• Assist with training and break coverage for packers.
• Communicate with production teams to meet the schedule.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment daily to make sure it is clean and sanitary.


• Coordinates proper flavoring with correct packaging film.


• Inspect bag seams making sure seals are strong.


• Works with Quality Control Operators to ensure standards are good; keep applicable records.


• Maintains efficient operation of equipment.


• Troubleshoots and proactively solve potential problems with equipment.


• Responsible for training and handling packers’ break schedule.


• Communicates with all production teams to ensure positive flow of production and accomplish goals of the production schedule.


• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Complies with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.


• Understands applicable SQF requirements.

Other & Miscellaneous:

• Ability to work as part of a team; capable of learning multiple jobs and maintaining a high quality of work.


• Ability to identify and analyze issues


• Desire to be a hands-on, on-the- floor-oriented manufacturing team member.


• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


• Computer skills: Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook


• Excellent interpersonal skills
