Job summary

Arrow Finishing, located in Blaine, MN, is seeking a Production Technician for Blast to process customer parts per requirements while upholding quality inspections and production pace targets.

You will monitor production steps, initiate Blast jobs, and communicate with technicians to ensure smooth operations. Eligibility requires US citizenship or a green card, and a high school diploma, with a 3:00pm–1:00am shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Continuously monitor production steps to ensure part quality.
• Start-up Blast jobs and coordinate with department colleagues.
• Report issues to Production Shift Supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and organized; proper equipment storage.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow PPE procedures and safety guidelines.
• Attend trainings in the LMS system as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Shift schedule: 3:00pm–1:00am Mon–Thu (training 7:00am–3:30pm Mon–Fri).

A Production Technician for Blast is accountable for processing customer parts per customer requirements while maintaining quality inspections and meeting production rate requirements.

Key Responsibilities | TASKS YOU DO TO ACHIEVE THE ACCOUNTABILTIES

• Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded
• Continuously monitor each step of production process to ensure quality of parts
• Responsible for start-up of Blast jobs
• Communicate with other technicians within department to share needed information throughout workday
• Responsible for visually monitoring tanks and communicating issues with the Production Shift Supervisor
• Maintain a clean line, free of clutter. Store equipment properly
• Notify the Production Shift Supervisor of any necessary maintenance repairs that are needed
• Properly complete required paperwork
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area
• Keep up to date with required trainings within the LMS system
• Follow proper safety procedures such as wearing Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses, gloves, respirators or other as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• Must be able to work 3:00pm to 1:00am Monday through Thursday, training for this position will take place on the first shift with a schedule of 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to use hand tools requiring using fine dexterity and precision
• Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, and bending for 8 hours as the position requires
• Ability to withstand occasional odors

Work Environment

This position location is on the production floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
