Job summary

RocketForce Technologies LLC seeks a Production Technician for the Mason, Ohio facility. The role is a 2nd shift position focused on assembling precision electro-optical semiconductor components, welding, and soldering under magnification.

Requires strong manual dexterity and familiarity with soldering, drawings, and hand tools. The incumbent will perform mechanical/electrical assembly, verify procedures, and maintain 6S discipline while collaborating with peers on daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent or an Associates Degree with related experience.
• Proficient computer skills including email and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and follow drawings and work instructions.
• Must have effective communication and basic hands-on tool experience.
• Experience using a microscope for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete solder processes such as soldering components and configuring cabling or wires.
• Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components for customer deliverables.
• Verify use of up-to-date procedures.
• Follow 6S standards in the work area.
• Perform torque training, inspect hardware and perform mechanical assembly.
• Crimp cables with a range of hand tools and guide peers in daily tasks.

Production Technician (Assembly - 2nd Shift)

Schedule: 9/80, 2 nd Shift

Job Description:

As an Assembly Technician you will be responsible for a variety of assembly operations tasks-assembling precision electro-optical semiconductor components, welding, and soldering under levels of optical magnification. Additionally, you will be responsible for following standard practices and procedures to operate leaded equipment. Note, this is for a 2 nd shift role.

Essential Functions:

• Complete assigned solder processes as required (ie. Soldering components, configuring cabling, and configuring wires)
• Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components for customer deliverables
• Verify use of most updated procedures
• Follow industry standard or practice for 6S
• Perform torque training, inspection of hardware, and mechanical assembly
• Crimping cables with a wide range of tools (ex. Hand crimping tools).
• Assist is guiding peers in completing daily tasks

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 yearsof prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• 2 years or more experience in proficient computer skills, including ability to navigate email and Microsoft office.
• 2 years or more experience in reading and following drawings and work instructions.
• 2 years or more experience in effective communication.
• 2 years or more experience with the use of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc.
• 2 years or more experience in using a microscope for long periods of time.
• Have J-STD Solder experience.
• Must be a United States Citizen.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Prolonged standing.
• Capable of performing manual labor.
• Must be able to move from lab to lab and inside the lab that you are located in.
