Job Responsibilities
- Test products for quality, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to minimize reject levels, and operate production equipment according to manufacturing practices and SOPs.
- Maintain manufacturing equipment in satisfactory condition, including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining conveyor belts, tanks, and pipe routings, following GMP policies to ensure product quality.
- Move raw materials and finished products within facilities using forklifts or other equipment to support production and shipping, inspect facilities for safety and GMP compliance, and calculate yields and scrap quantities for accurate material usage records.
- Communicate with team members to exchange feedback, solve problems, and assess needs to achieve business results.
- Identify activities not in accordance with company policies and inform relevant parties.
- Ensure proper documentation and retention of statistics related to policies, procedures, and standards.
This is a bargaining union position - represented by Local 773, International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Preferred: 2 years of manufacturing and/or shipping experience.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Availability to work overtime and flexible shifts when required.
- Good attendance and punctuality, with reliable presence at scheduled shift start times.
- Initiative and accountability for work quality and effectiveness.
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of production and warehousing; ability to operate a forklift safely and perform physical tasks such as lifting and pushing/pulling up to 55 lbs.
- Commitment to skill development and teamwork across functions.
- Ability to identify equipment and operational problems.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and a high level of individual responsibility.
- Leadership interview and assessment based on stated requirements.
