We are seeking a Production Technician-Forming, 3rd shift 11p-7:30a. Training will be on 1st shift, 7am-3:30pm, for approximately 6 months.

Scope: Support production by ensuring machines meet quality and throughput standards, troubleshooting issues affecting downtime, speed, or yield, reducing setup time, and assisting with machinery projects and upgrades. Act as a liaison between Machine Services and Process Engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment issues to restore operations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and the production team to meet schedule and efficiency goals, including downtime data collection.
• Train new operators and cross-train existing operators in new skills.
• Set up and operate forming machines according to SOPs and volume expectations.
• Participate in projects to improve process safety, quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
• Maintain communication and cooperation with colleagues to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Observe, troubleshoot, and report non-conformance conditions.
• Understand environmental policies and their impact, adhering to ISO 14001 standards.
• Practice safety awareness and safe work practices.

Is this job for you?

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or manufacturing certification preferred.
• Minimum of five years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs, labels, instructions, and blueprints.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills relevant to the department.
• Experience in training machine operators.
• Achieve a skill level of “5” on the Forming Machine per the skill matrix.
